With a soulful style of electronic funk, Manic Focus is making waves nationally thanks to major events like Summer Camp Music Festival and Shambhala Festival.

With a Colorado Spring tour that hits Durango, Vail, Boulder and Ft. Collins,  Manic Focus is heading to Aggie Theater to perform alongside Late Night Radio and we are happy to help promote the show while we have MHSM Artist, Lucid Vision joining in for the fun.

Known for his high energy performances and jams with artists such as GRiZJohn “JmaC” McCarten has gained a huge following, especially within the local Denver music scene. In 2015 ‘Get Down’ in collaboration with SunSquabi and previously mentioned Griz was possibly the jam of the last summer causing more madness on the rocks than anyone thought possible.

Whether you are a long time Manic Focus fan or are thinking of checking out the performer for the first time, you have to hit one of his stops. He’s bringing his hypnotizing jams to Boulder and Fort Collins when he rolls into the area this upcoming weekend. Collaborating with Late Night Radio is just one of many reasons to and attend.

The Interview:

Aryonna Richard:  How would you say your style resonates with Colorado native Late Night Radio? Any collaborations in the works for you two?

John McCarten: “I’ve known Alex (Late Night Radio) for nearly three years now, and I’ve been a big fan since first hearing his music.  I’m excited to debut our collab on this run of shows.”

AR: What can you tell us about the Manic Focus Live Band innovations?

JC: “My drummer Spartacus (Jake Barinholtz) and I have been working hard on our live show, and we’re excited to try out some new material on these Colorado crowds!”

AR: What can your fans expect from your set next Saturday at the Aggie Theater?

JC: “Come with low expectations and we’ll blow you away.  Come with high expectations and we’ll do our best to impress.”

AR: In less than three months you’ll be returning to Red Rocks with Lettuce in a stacked lineup, how would you describe your feelings leading up to yet another performance at one of the best venues in the country?

JC: “Its a very surreal experience being a part of such an epic lineup. I’m incredibly grateful and thankful for Lettuce and couldn’t be happier!  It will truly be the best show on Red Rocks all summer.”

AR: What can you tell us about All Good Records and the impact they have been making in the electronic music community?

JC: “All Good Records is much more than it currently seems, and its impact will extend beyond just electronic music.  I hope the label inspires people to think outside of the box.”
